first jewellery show

I had my first Jewellery show last week in Montreal. It was something I was really looking forward to, and I didn't have many expectations, because it is my first time showing. Just the experience of meeting people who are generally interested in handmade items makes me happy. I have one this weekend as well at Old Skool Crafts in the Mile-End. Come one- come all!

preview of jewellery collection

I had a friend of mine model my new jewellery for a lookbook. We had a photoshoot in my apartment while sipping on some red wine. Tons of fun and I'm super happy with the results. Hopefully my website will be up and running soon. More pics to come!

sartorialist vintage photos

I was so happy to see my grandfather's photo on The Sartorialist. It's interesting to hear what other people's reaction's to the photo is. I agree with the reader's that even though I knew my grandfather, there is a mystery to the photo. He seems confident and at ease with life. Which he was. He worked in the corporate world in Montreal, yet he was a loving and involved father and husband. He loved photography and I'm glad that Scott Schuman recognized his love of pose, style and life in general. Which The Sartorialist evokes.

a rich history

This is what a home looks like of a ninety year old french roman catholic woman. She stays in a retirement home, yet her house is always occupied by friends and family who wish to stay in a house full of history while they're in town. She was very sweet to let us stay in her little abode on the water.

feeling nostalgic

Shippagan, New Brunswick is like a fairy tale in the summer time. The town is one hundred percent french with the happiest, kindest people I have yet to meet. Surrounded by ocean and fisheries where you can buy fresh seafood directly from the captain and bring the fresh catch home to prepare with the people you love.
